Forbes: Russian Soldiers At Donetsk Training Ground Become Targets For HIMARS

This is the fifth time the occupiers have fallen into such a trap.

This is at least the fifth time in six months that Russian troops have gathered in an open area for training or inspection within range of HIMARS. And at least the fifth time in just over six months that Ukrainian batteries have fired rockets filled with hundreds of grenade-sized submunitions at the assembled Russians, Forbes writes.

The latest such attack occurred this week, presumably at an open shooting range near the Petrovsky district of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, 24 km from the frontline.

Video of the aftermath of the attack shows at least a dozen dead Russian soldiers and wrecked vehicles, strongly suggesting that Ukrainian missiles (likely GPS-guided M30/31s fired from wheeled High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems) rained down on the enemy during a training exercise.

This has happened before, and in the same area, Forbes notes. There is a patch of about 150 square kilometers in the Donetsk region, south of Donetsk, where a large Russian troop concentration — and a lot of lazy Russian commanders — is concentrated. Ukrainian HIMARS has struck Russian training grounds in the area at least three times since February, killing about 100 people.
