The Homel regional capital construction department announced the selection of a contractor for the reconstruction of the motor pool facilities of military unit 5525 in Homel (internal troops). With this money, you can build 2 kindergartens in new microdistricts, about the same amount is needed to build a small school or clinic.

The work on the reconstruction of the motor pool facilities in the police unit should begin in September and is scheduled for two years — until September 2026. The design documentation has already been developed — a large sum was also spent on this.

There are no diagrams in the published tender, but a detailed description of the object was found in the documentation. The capacity of the garages that they want to reconstruct is 82 cars.

The project provides for the construction of a one- or two-story vehicle maintenance and repair point with workshops and warehouses.

In another, a 2-story control and technical point with a duty station, offices, and an archive. It is also planned to build a gas station.

Earlier, it was reported that after the “clarification” of the Council of Ministers, the security forces of the Homel region lost 8 million rubles, previously allocated within the framework of the State Investment Program for 2024 — this was about the same military unit 5525. As a result of the redistribution of funds, the Homel police unit received 5 million rubles less for the reconstruction of vehicle fleet facilities. Funding for the reconstruction of the canteen and utility networks in the same unit was cut by another 3 million rubles.
