A Mi-28 helicopter has crashed in Kaluga region of Russia. This was reported by the Russian Defence Ministry.
The helicopter was performing a scheduled flight. It fell in a deserted area in Zhizdra district. There is no destruction on the ground. The crew of the machine was killed. A technical malfunction was named as the preliminary cause of the crash.
The Mi-28 is an attack helicopter designed to search and destroy tanks and other armoured vehicles, as well as low-speed air targets and enemy personnel in conditions of active fire countermeasures.
