Lukashenka Flying To Country Where He Was Unpleasantly ‘Piqued’

The former president of Mongolia stood up for the Belarusian political prisoners.

Lukashenka will be visiting Mongolia from June 1 to 4 and will take part in a business forum on June 3, where 32 Belarusian companies will present their projects.

Historically, relations between Lukashenka and Mongolia have been controversial, says political scientist Dzmitry Balkunets:

"In 2011, Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj (2009-2017) openly expressed his dissatisfaction with the political situation in Belarus.

He emphasised his disapproval of one of the presidential candidates in Belarus occupying the presidential chair while others are in prison.
