The decision of the Lithuanian government to close two more checkpoints "Katlouka-Lavorishki" and "Pryvalka-Raigardas" and pedestrian traffic from March 1, 2024 is an exceptionally politically motivated step, including within the framework of growing electoral campaigns.

"Belarus will be forced to react harshly to these extremely unfriendly actions of Vilnius, taking into account the interests of its citizens and, as far as possible, residents of neighbouring states," the ministry said.

Recall that recently it became known that Lithuania closed two more checkpoints on the border with Belarus from March 1, 2024, — the checkpoints "Lavorishkes" (adjacent — "Katlouka") and "Raigardas" ("Privalka").
